a shrug?

Answer by whateverbabe
A Quick JEAN JACKET

Answer by CuteToonGirl
A type of sweater called a “shrug”. It will keep your shoulders covered but will not cover your dress very considerably. Some of them wrap about your chest.

Answer by tunnelvision
If it is a dance, then the very best you can do is use a bolero (which i consider will go better with a strapless amount than a halter), or a shawl / pashmina. It’ll cover you up but still leave you the option to ditch it anytime you want.

Answer by Kaycee L
You could try out wearing a singlet more than it? I tried it with my halter (Pink) and it looked hot with my white singlet over it. xD

Answer by foxfire
shawl

Answer by Sarah
You may attempt a nice wrap like these

but if you don’t want to be concerned about keeping it up all evening try a cute cardigan like these

A shrug that matches. Or I know, how about a shawl. It really is sophisticated.

wear halter dress

Q&A–: What type of jewelry do you usually put on with a formal-event halter topped long dress?
I am going to a formal event, and am uncertain as to what kind of jewelry I need to wear with my dress. It is a salsa fashion lengthy dress, halter top rated. For instance, do you wear a necklace with a halter dress and do you wear big fancier earrings or smaller stud ones?? I am also unsure as to do my hair up or down?

The answer in the following: (Hint: The reader is not the proper identification.)

Answer by Anirtak
I would put on a straightforward diamond necklace with plain diamond earrings

Answer by nadlanglois72
A little necklace, medium sized earrings, and a bracelet would be sufficient.

DIAMONDS ARE A GIRLS Greatest Friend!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Answer by mind_the_gap
Hair up, dangling earrings, no necklace.

Answer by betty_boop
Dont wear necklace. Nice Earings, silver loops and matching bracelet. Loose curly hair would be quite

Answer by Flower
halter tops are usually challenging…if you feel the dress is fancy sufficient on it’s very own, a necklace may well not be required.
As for earrings, I’d go with chandelier earrings, but nothing at all also large.

and hair up is always the way to go when it is formal

Answer by Stacy W
I wore a set of pearl earrings but no necklace…it just did not flow with the necklace. but you want earrings that will shine..diamonds are excellent

Answer by NICOLE
No necklace..the halter takes care of that…and earrings…something you like that will match the dress

Answer by lazy lady
Halter neck dress-hair up, prolonged simple earings, and no necklace.

Answer by KitKat4106
for the jewelry with a halter dress i would put on one thing modest like a single diamond necklace..or absolutely nothing… and practically nothing also massive for earrings.. and for the hair i consider it depends on what kind of event it is.. but i would say up

WHO: Lorena Cupcake, a bank teller, racounteur, shameless scene kid, cupcake gangster from Chicago.

GOING? I’m heading out for a Sunday afternoon date. I’m finding pork belly, al pastor, and cocktails at Large Star, a taco and bourbon bar with a menu by chef Paul Kahan and bar system by mixologist Michael Rubel. It’s the excellent pairing and I am insatiably addicted.

WEARING? I truly desired to make the most of the waning days of summer time and wear as little as achievable. The gay rights/equality best is a Marc Jacobs t-shirt I cut up and resewed into a halter, worn with American Apparel thigh highs and Doc Marten boots. My messenger bag was custom made for my by Seagull Bags and the cycling cap was handsewn by Kozy Prery.

YOUR BIKE? My bike is a singlespeed mixte by Specialized Globe it is a bike for grocery runs, commuting, late night cruising, and daily city life.

WHY RIDE? I attempt to ride all year lengthy, which is less difficult mentioned than done in Chicago. I like to ride my bike to parties and bars way more than commuting I feel like half of the riding I do is in the witching hour, the silent pitch black early morning, acquiring myself residence after partying all night with out having to take a cab.

FAVOURITE RIDE? A handful of months back a buddy organized The Chainlink Homecoming Ride everybody wore 1980s prom dresses frothing with taffeta, suits, and corsages. We rode all more than town with balloons trailing off our bikes, possessing impromptu sidewalk dance parties, whooping, cheering, and barhopping.

Even though RIDING YOU…. My pal wrote me my personal theme song &quotCute Girls Ride Bikes&quot to the theme of &quotBig Girls Do not Cry.&quot

    Hair up
    No necklace
    Long earrings
    Bracelet

Go look at pictures of formal events.. notice how the ladies are wearing these items..
search: glamour wear. socialites, celebrity fundraisers.

my idea is, most of them seem to wear their hair up.
    and long necklaces, small earrings

If you have enough hair, put it up to show off your shoulders. Small earrings very sparkly would be nice.

If you are demure or large chested, wear a small necklace. If daring, wear a plunging necklace to direct attention toward your cleavage.

I personally would wear my hair up since my back and shoulders would be nicely emphasized with the halter. I would probably stick with wearing some fancier earrings – something big and sparkly and dangly. Have fun at your event!

I think you should wear your hair half up half down so that the top half can be pulled back into a pony and all curled at the end. In regards to the necklae do not wear one with a halter just go for bracelets. and since your hair will be pulled back where bigger earring or dangling ones

you can do either one or the other (necklace or earrings) would not do both – for me I have long curly hair so i usually opt for a necklace – or LONG earrings.. one or the other… but if you wear your hair up – that would look nice as well.. you can try a couple different and see what you feel works best with your dress and go from there… it’s trial & error because you can really go either way and you’ll look F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S!!! PS: always remember ‘less’ is ‘more’!

If you wear your hair up, then small, simple earrings would be nice. However, if you wear your hair down, then larger earrings would work nicely. Don’t go overboard on sparkle; the dress is the statement. No necklace, it will detract from the whole picture. But add a couple of bracelets, bangles mostly, on one wrist that will move with your moves will be sure to dazzle.

u can try looking in fashion mags or go to the place where u bought ur dress & ask them what kind of accessories go w/ it.

No necklaces whatsoever. However, a nice broach in the center of the clevage that matches your earrings and bracelet would be very nice. If you are wearing your hair up, go for something that dangles, like chandellier earrings.

Long line earrings, no chandeliers. No necklace, your neckline is already decorated with the straps from the dress. Hair up in the front, down in the back. You want to show off the top of the dress, and make sure people are looking at your face as well.
Since I don’t know the color of the dress for suggestions, her are just some general pictures-

    Wear a ring
Wear a necklace – tight, close to the neck.
    Wear small ear rings.

That is enough, and most adequate.

    Wear your hair up.

    lyric6a

Absolutely no necklace, too much will be going on around your neck. Big earrings can be okay, as long as they are basic, go for a solid gold, silver, white, or black. And make sure they do not touch to closely to your dress. Your hair should be up, not just because it’s formal, but because of the style of dress. Also, large bracelets in stand-out colors ( for example, if the dress is black, your bracelets shouldn’t be) no more than 2-3 per wrist. But personally, I’d just do 2 on one wrist.

long earings=no neclace stud earings=small necklace ….I would go with simple earings and a necklace to show off your halter….brings attention to the skin….hair up.

i’d wear no necklace and some big eye-catching earrings.

  15. #15
    Brittany H

I would skip the necklace and instead opt for a matching bracelet and earring set. Something with lots of diamonds and probably silver. Don’t go too big on the earrings, but a big bold bracelet would look great!

Hoop earrings that are like 3 cm in radius and a dangling necklace with thin chain

A jeweled choker or a velvet choker with a pendant look great with a formal halter. Complimentary stud earrings work with such accessories. There are many factors for the hair to consider, but usually hair up is the classier choice.

Chandelier Earings, you can go big on the earings but make sure they are elegant, a cute bracelot, NO necklace… it will make your look a little messy and over the top if you are wearing a halter. I love halter dresses! Have fun!…. oh and a really pretty updo would be nice… you want those earings to shine :)

Hair up, to accentuate your neckline. Wear a short chained pendant (diamond or zircon) and some kind of matching shimmery earrings. Larger studs, maybe.

  23. #23
    racingmomma1818

I would go with hair up and long bigger earrings

  24. #24
    grace

formal events call for updos and pearls, but if your dress ties around the neck I wouldn’t wear and large neclaces. Maybe pearl drop earrings would be enough.

    Mister_Mister

It all goes together. If you want to show off that beautiful neckline, wear the hair up, then you choose long earrings and leave your neck bare, or wear a very small slim chain only. If you’d rather leave your hair down, wear smaller earrings that will show as your hair moves and a wider choker-style necklace. But bigger earrings go best with an updo, to me.

    GOLD!!!!!!!!!!!

    smartgirl

You should wear a larger earring, a bracelet and no necklace. The print of your dress matters. If it’s extremely colorful you can either go with a simple, but large earring like huge hoops in gold, bronze or silver, for example. If you feel you want more color up around your face you could hit the department stores and find some be-jeweled earrings and maybe a matching bracelet
With the larger earrings you’ll want to wear your hair up to show off the halter and the jewelry. If this is truly a FORMAL affair your hair could be in a sleek updo. If this event is formal but artsy then wear most of your hair up but keep it looser, sexier, and allow part of it to cascade down your back. Another option that works for both instances is to attach a long, silky, fake ponytail (made of human hair). You can wrap your own hair around the band for a “Jeannie” effect. You can buy these ponytails at beauty supply stores for about $ 30. They come in many colors.

I would suggest a drop necklace, small matching earrings and a cute little matching bracelet.
Your dress sounds beautiful, so less is more.
As for your hair, talk to a professional and look through some magazines.

I would only wear earrings. Hoops would be good. If you have a good back, I would say wear the hair up and show off.

You wear long ,fancier earings and, hair up …looks more elegant!!Have fun.

Long thin, dangly, sparkly earrings and a dainty bracelet. Hair up, you don’t want to poke an eye out while you’re salsa dancing! :) Sounds beautiful.

    Sweet Pea

If the dress is busy I suggest not wearing a neclace…let the dress speak for itself…a formal event you should wear elegant earings nothing oversized or flashy, I suggest some kind of dangly… pull your hair back or up, so your earings can be seen and REMEMBER LESS IS BEST…if the dress is a bright color wear a muted lipstick if the dress is muted wear a darker lipstick…I always look in the mirror on the way out and if I feel overdone then I remove something…also a small hand bag, put 20 bucks inside with your lipstick and your debit card and ID…have fun and good luck…

    low_on_ram

Simple is best when in doubt. A nice pendant diamond necklace is always pretty. Even a simple thin gold chain looks great. Medium sized hoop earrings, or diamond studs look good. One simple bracelet that matches everything else. Don’t go crazy with the rings, just pick 1 or 2 that match.

    Hair up.

  35. #35
    Autumn M

a small sized necklace (like with wooden balls colored to match the dress or small beads that match or even just a chain with a small pendant that fits. so…nothing gaudy…something that just addss a little something else). Like ive caught on cameron diaz. Simple earrings to match the necklace. nothing big. hair up. because if you have long hair (well mine does this and its down to my butt) it can be a huge pain messing with it all night. Have fun!

    Rebecca R

I would put your hair up in a french twist sort of thing with fancier dangling earings. If you want to wear your hair down then I would say small studs with a very simple necklace. But as long as you feel you look good everyone else will see it. Cofidence is the most important thing to wear. :)

  37. #37
    mizindpndntgrl25

Wear your hair up with a few curls coming down. Earrings either long earrings or medium sized studs. If you want to wear a necklace then wear a pearls or diamand necklace with not to many diamonds or pearls.

  38. #38
    Lynn

Hair-wear it all up, because you’ll be able to see your neckline, which is good with the halter style dress, and if you do wear jewelry, wear pearl studs, with a pearl necklace, it adds class, and wont be too flashy.

  39. #39
    annathespian

I would do largish earings or a fancy necklace but not both – even if the earings are small…I just think a bare chest with earings looks classier ditto for a nice necklace without earrings… Everyone’s going to wear their hair up, why not wear yours down to be different?
