put on halter dress–: Can I wear a halter dress with a cardigan to a November wedding?
I have a great black and white halter dress that I have worn to several summer season weddings. However, I am attending a wedding in two weeks and cannot afford a new dress. Would it be ok if I wore a black cardigan more than the halter dress for a wedding or would that search as well tacky? It is not a formal wedding. Thanks in advance!
The answer in the following: (Hint: The answer is not necessarily.)

it is ok go ahead.
if it’s not a formal wedding it would have been better to go for one more brighter color but if you cannot afford one more dress it really is extremely ok
Answer by liljohnae
I believe you can. Just bring a jacket. No it won’t appear to tacky you shouldnt care what no one else thinks because its your style

As an alternative of a cardigan, attempt a shrug or a shawl or a pashima. It will appear considerably prettier than a sweater. If you cannot afford 1, see if somebody you know has one particular you can borrow.
Also, is this an indoor wedding? If it is, you can most likely take off the outer layer as soon as the reception begins, as usually receptions are a tiny warm the moment the party gets started out.

Sounds great.I never understood why men and women comply with colours of the year unless it is Halloween or Christmas.
Answer by D4Pres2012
that is fine. even if it is a formal wedding you can wear a cardigan, I do it all the time because reception venues are often FREEZING with also a lot AC.
Answer by Accurate
A halter dress with a cardigan would not appear proper at all.
I would just put on the halter dress alone if not then perhaps go with a great leading and dressy pants.

As lengthy as the halter portion is all covered up.
A single day my sister dressed her two-year old in a halter with a t-shirt under it. It looked sooo tacky, but if my sister would have place the shirt or a sweater above it, it would have looked cute!
Answer by truefirstedition
That is totally fine – not tacky at all.

Positive, if you like it, why not? You might ask your mother or a pal of the family members, if you care about what the earlier generation thinks.
If you discover that it makes you as well nervous or that your family members wouldn’t approve, you can find a beautiful shawl or scarf or shrug to put on with it, even a light jacket over it, to cover up a lot more skin, and it would still appear great.

If you really feel like you want to… do it. Your life appropriate?
