Q&A: Do you think flip flops look cheap?
or do they remind you of jail-wear?
ok I’ll admit I have a pair but they are like a year old. And I like some with heels, but the sound is unnerving and is worse than courdory pants on a big thighed lady…lol..I think it’s funny

Who cares if they look cheap- they’re great with all the summer stuff like bikinis and shorts- I usually go to Old Navy and buy several different pairs in different colors to match my outfits and my moods. I think flip flops are a great summer staple.

No and no. I have to wear formal closed-toe high-heeled shoes to work every day, so I’m excited to wear flip-flops when I get home.
I hate slippers, so flip flops are my version of slippers

Well I love flip flops!!
I think some do, like the ones from Old Navy, thy look cheap becasue they are though. Mine get dirty within like the first few days I get them.
But some flip flops are very cute and I dont think they look cheap at all!

Flip Flops are okay to wear at the pool, the beach or around the house, but should not be worn in public.
Most of the time they just look like you don’t care about what you are wearing. So yeah cheap.

I only wear those when I’m headin’ to the beach, or if I have to quickly step outside of the house in the summer.

Depends if you bought them at the five and dime or not.
I think they look very casual; they’re comfy, and depending on the situation, perfectly ok to wear if you like them. If other people don’t like what I wear or want to be snobby about it, I couldn’t possibly care less; I wear what *I* like.
I agree with Tenn girl. They have their place and their purpose, and aside from that, yes, they look cheap and tacky! Personally, I don’t care how you dress them up, they’re still flip flops, and they make that disgusting “wappida-wappida” noise when people walk in them. Ick!!!
Flip-flops don’t look cheap, they look fun! They look like a walk on the beach, or a lazy Sunday afternoon. They look like a Saturday afternoon of family and friends gathered at a lake-side for grilling burgers and watching the sun set. They look like chilling footwear you would slip on after a hard day at work and your feet are too hot and tired for slippers and to tender to go barefooted. They look like many things, but cheap isn’t one of them. And they certainly don’t resemble anything like those hard plastic slides prisoners are required to wear in jail (no personal experience, I use to be a cop).

not at all. theres obviously a time and place, but the only ones i buy are rainbows. they are about 50 dollars depending on where you get them, but they are made of leather and conform to your feet after a week or so. im about to buy my third pair :]
Even if flip flops look cheap(they are cheap) they are excellent beach wear. Even if you lose them, who cares.You can throw them on your feet if you want to walk on the beach , and the sand is wet, you won’t ruin a good pair of leather sandals.You can even wade a bit in the water if you want. They give some protection from stones and pebbles on the beach.
You can pay $500.00 for a pair, and they still look cheap!
