Hi,I did the following:
Question: I used vinegar to get rid of smelly sandals, now how do I get rid of the vinegar smell?
I soaked and washed my sandals in vinegar and now I cannot seem to get rid of the vinegar smell either. I have washed them about 3 times with detergent and nothing seems to work.

Wear them till your foot oder overpowers the vineger

Use some fabric softner in the wash or where ever you are washing them. (sink?)
The smell will go away within time. Let them dry completely and the smell will be gone.

I second the baking soda suggestion. Vinegar is an acid,and baking soda is a base. They neutralize each other, which is why you get the bubbling foam when combining them in those homemade volcano projects.

use disinfection spray or try rubbing alcohol.
