Q&A: I have a baby face. Anyone have any eye makeup tips, since eyeliner make me look retarded?
I’m 15 and I have a babyface,
and i always look emo/goth whenever I put on eyeliner, even if its only a little bit.
So anyone have any eye make up tips for me?

I would still try to use eyeliner, but try a lighter color, like light brown. Also make sure it is sharp so it isn’t to thick. If that still makes you look too dark, you could use a darker shade of eyeshadow instead. Stay away from bright colors for the eye shadow on your lid, that ends up looking childish most of the time. And to finish put on mascara (black) and curl your eyelashes with just an eyelash curler. You could also put on some bronzer and blush.

I think it’s good to look younger than your age. It helps you out so much later in life! But I reccomend a copper, shimmery eye shadow with a light coat of whatever mascara you choose (brown, black, clear). It’s natural but it really makes your eyes pop. I wore just that to a talent show and it really made my eyes look bigger!

I would also suggest that if you live in or near a city of good size, go to the biggest department store (Macy’s, Penney’s, etc.) and go to their cosmetics department. Really big stores like Bloomingdale’s have several ladies, usually in white coats, who are there specifically to put makeup on you so that look good and will hopefully buy the makeup they used on you. But the “session” they give you is FREE!

The only caveat might be that since you look so youg, there may be a policy that you need to be with an adult… so drag your 18-year old sister, brother, uncle or aunt if your Mom won’t/can/t would never go with you.

But a smile is always the most beautiful thing to wear on your face!
