Question–: How to dress business casual for young women?
I’ve recently been hired for a publicity job and I was told that the dress code is business casual (no suits required). I’m 23 and while I have no problem dressing professionally, I was wondering how I could dress biz-cas without looking frumpy.
My regular clothing style is simple but feminine/subtly sexy – how can I translate that into workplace-appropriate attire?
The following is the answer: (Hint: The answer is not necessarily.)

Usually a nice skirt and blouse are fine. Not too sexy. Every organization has their own sense of what business casual is so you’ll be able get the hang of it in no time.
Some places assume that a woman will wear pantihose others don’t care.

Business Casual just means no jeans to some, but your company may allow it from time to time since it’s a PR type company. Casual in the office also means no t-shirt and tennis shoes. Just think of it as a denim shirt with ties for men and for women, no suits or gowns. Check this website for more info. nttp://mistupid.com/fashion/woman.html

a skirt below the knees is a great start. As well as twinsets, layered tops, blouses. I am a big fan of slacks and a collared shirt or twinset. Khakis and polo shirts are decent and comfy as well. So, Instead of running out and buying a whole new wardrobe, use the pieces you have from your current professional clothes. Your slacks/skirts can still be worn, so just invest in tops and accessories (scarves, bracelets, necklaces etc) and you should be good to go.
